Christopher Pincher congratulates pupils at Landau Forte Academy 6th Form Tamworth on their fantastic A-Level Results.

This week Tamworth students received their A-level results with an overall pass rate of 98% with 68% of the pupils receiving top grades.

Mr Pincher said:

"Congratulations to all of the pupils and staff at Landau 6th Form - two years of hard work has finally paid off giving the students the best possible start in the next phase of their learning, be it in the workplace, an apprenticeship or at university. With a 98% pass rate it really does show that hard work and dedication pays off"

Mr Morris, Principle at Landau 6th Form Academy commented:

"These results are for our first cohort to go through a full two years of life at Landau Forte Academy: Tamworth Sixth Form and show clearly the potential of the young people of Tamworth. From the students with A* grades for all of their A levels to those who came to us with special needs who have achieved great success, it represents a substantial achievement for everyone concerned."

"With thirty-three subjects available at A level, we have achieved a pass rate of 98%, 68% at A*-C and over 90% at A*-D. Every subject achieved an excellent pass rate (over 90%) and the students are now progressing to University, Apprenticeships, or Employment, including Oxbridge and medicine. We are proud of our students and see these results as an excellent foundation upon which we will build for the success of the young people of this area."

This cohort of pupils is their first to have completed 2 years at the 6th Form Academy which opened in 2011 as a purpose built and dedicated 6th Form Centre.
