Tamworth MP Christopher Pincher joined Tamworth's budding entrepreneurs on Saturday at an event in the Ankerside Shopping Centre aimed at supporting young enterprise.
Young Enterprise is the United Kingdom's leading charity that empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills.
The event comprised 11 teams from schools in the Tamworth and wider Staffordshire area demonstrating their ability to start a business and become the entrepreneurs of tomorrow using the Company Programme experience.
The Company Programme is the flagship of Young Enterprise. Young people set up and run a real company for a year with guidance from a business volunteer and have a chance to compete against other schools throughout Staffordshire.
Mr Pincher said: "I very much enjoyed meeting the entrepreneurs of the future at the Ankerside. It was interesting to hear the plans and passions that the young people had, and I very much wish them all the success for the future. Well done also to Young Enterprise for promoting such an important initiative."
Cannock Chase MP, Amanda Milling, who also joined the event said: "I was delighted to attend the Young Enterprise trade fair in Tamworth. I was very impressed by the students' passion and drive. Their business ideas were excellent and I wish them all the very best of luck as they develop their products further and take them to market. They had clearly gained invaluable insight into the world of business, including the need to overcome whatever challenges present themselves. It was great to meet with such aspiring young entrepreneurs who have a very bright future ahead of them."
